Xerte training
Xerte Online Toolkits is an open source system developed by the University of Nottingham, which allows anyone with basic internet browsing skills to develop and create engaging, interactive and highly accessible learning objects
As Xerte is free, and completely web based - it is the easiest content creation/packaging tool for an organisation to deploy to large numbers of people. It is also one of the simplest and quickest to learn.
Training can be either introductory, to get people going, or more advanced for people that have been using Xerte already, but want to explore some of the more advanced options.
As with all training run by Dave Foord, the session doesn't just focus on the technicalities of using the software, but focusses on things like good instructional design, accessibility considerations and considerations if designing for a potentially mobile audience.
