Consultancy
e-learning and ILT

Dave Foord has managed, and been involved in many e-learning and ILT projects over the years, and specialises in designing and influencing systems to make them more pedagogical orientated, rather than being technically driven. This can save institutions thousands of pounds, as well as numerous hours of time.
Another of Dave's strengths is his ability to develop and work towards holistic, long term strategies. Many institutions struggle with ILT and e-learning because their strategies do not connect with each other, or under resourced. Dave can help institutions to design or modify strategies into documents that can actually work.
Initial Project Consultation
Many educational projects either fail, or become very expensive due to oversights during the early phases of a project. Dave Foord has lead on, and implemented many ILT and e-learning projects over the years, some more successfully than others. Dave specialises in helping people to identify exactly what they want to achieve, why they want to achieve it, and then the best way to go about it. A single days consultancy early on in a project, can save institutions thousands of pounds, considerable time and frustration.
Instructional Design
When designing an educational product, the design of how it looks and works can make a huge difference to how effective the learning is that follows. Dave Foord has experience of designing many learning objects, educational websites, and resources.
Strategy development
Educational institutions love strategies - the more the better, and for many having a strategy in place, is all that is needed to achieve an objective. ILT and e-learning strategies are often ineffective as many are written from a technical perspective not a pedagogic one, some are pledges without actions, and some are written without consideration of the resource implications. Dave Foord has been involved in the creation and amendments of various strategies, and specialises in bringing the various relevant strategies together and coming up with a final product that may actually work.
